The Dolphin Max Series delivers on this concept. This second generation of the Dolphin robot is the sum of its predecessors – and therefore a reflection of the past and a vision of the future.
The secret to Dolphin Max success: a clean slate harmonious overall concept with a user-friendly design and – as our engineers sometimes call it – unique technical layout. With MaxBin™ Next-Gen Filtration, the Max-Series™ delivers a dramatically increased filter capacity up to 100% larger. Simply put, Max-Series makes maintenance a breeze, so you can spend more time enjoying your pool and less time cleaning.
In searching for the next big solution and with a focus on user friendly design, Dolphin engineers saw the potential for designing a new filter that was much quicker and easier to empty. Expanding the size by 50-100% larger (depending on model chosen) delivers a thoroughbred of robots that also meets the challenges of everyday usability.
There are 3 models in the Dolphin Max Series. Choose the Quantum model, and you’ll get the largest filtration bin ever offered in a pool robot. Some 400 cubic inches. Choose Dolphin Escape or Cayman and you’re at approximately 260 cubic inches.
The Max-Series is differentiated from the other Dolphin cleaners by MaxBin, a game-changing update to Dolphin robots. The leap ahead is found in the design of the filters. The twin smaller filters have been replaced by a massive top-loading debris bin. MaxBin forever changes how you dispose of the dirt, debris and leaves. A single top-loading filter with maximum size is the ideal concept for a pool robot. The compact motor is located out of the way, thereby saving more room for the massive MaxBin filter.
Engineers at Maytronics gave Max-Series™ robots the next-gen robotic scanning and navigating software: SmartNav 2.0. These robotic pool cleaners can easily navigate any pool or obstacle in your pool. Whether you have steps or a ladder, nothing will get in a Max-Series™ way.

Engineers added a single trap door in each of these top-loading robots. Simply open with an easy one handed motion and a convenient handle pops up. Grab and empty the MaxBin by dumping the contents. If there’s fine debris, a quick spray with the water hose will remove the small particulate.
There you have it – its possible to empty MaxBin in 5 seconds flat. Reinstalling MaxBin is just as quick and easy. The clever handle folds down automatically for storage for maximum ease of use. The silhouette: modern. The design: user friendly. The technology: inspired by hydrodynamics and always one step ahead. The result is both the most modern and user-friendly version of the Dolphin robot.
You need to get the most out of every day, which means minimizing pool care. The most recent design improvements were not done in a vacuum or driven from a laboratory. These improvements are the direct result of consumer feedback. Earlier models like the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus relied on two smaller filters and six total parts. Those parts required disassembly of each filter to clean. That’s now a distant memory.
Cleaning a Max Series robot has been reduced to just seconds. With MaxBin, you can effortlessly clean the filtration bin using just one hand. Simply lift the top panel and a convenient handle pops up. Turn the bin upside down and debris effortlessly slides out, leaving you with an empty bin in mere seconds. No more messy, time-consuming clean-ups.
With 83% fewer parts, the major improvement over the previous models is the design of the filter itself. In the older variant, the filters were made up of 6 individual parts. The newer design reduces the parts count to just one, which makes removing and cleaning it incredibly fast and easy.
For the first time ever, there is now nothing to disassemble. This next gen design reduces the number of steps to clean the robot and speeds up cleaning by 80%. The new design makes emptying the debris much less messy because the number of touch points during cleaning has been reduced from six to just one.
You don’t need to get your hands dirty emptying this vacuum. With the previous generation Dolphin filters, the pool owner had to open two smaller cartridges and touch six parts. Each one may require spraying off with the water hose. This can be a messy process.
