Ranked best Dolphin for above-ground pools by our poool experts, the all-new Dolphin Escape keeps your pool’s floor clean of dirt and algae with innovative HyperBrush™ technology and unparalleled dual 24-volt DC motor efficiency for both in-ground and above ground pools. Its lightweight, ergonomic frame and quick 1.5-hour cleaning cycle make it perfect for all above-ground pools. With an extreme value price and warranty coverage for a full year, the Dolphin Escape is sure to be the most popular above ground pool cleaner of 2024.
The secret to Dolphin Max-Series™ success: a clean slate harmonious overall concept with a user-friendly design and – as our engineers sometimes call it – unique technical layout. With MaxBin™ Next-Gen Filtration, the Max-Series™ delivers a dramatically increased filter capacity up to 100% larger. Simply put, Max-Series makes maintenance a breeze, so you can spend more time enjoying your pool and less time cleaning.
Experince the NanoFilter difference. Side by side, you can see the difference between the NanoFilter™ (left) and standard filter (right).
For the first time ever, you can upgrade your Dolphin Escape by adding its MaxBin™ with NanoFilters™. By adding this filter, it allows you to target and capture difficult debris that would otherwise be recirculated in your pool.
For pool owners, finding a cleaner designed for your pool is the key. Whether you have an gunite in-ground or vinyl above ground, the Escape is capable of cleaning any pool. The Dolphin Escape comes with a 40-foot cable to reach all areas of your pool’s floor surface effortlessly. Just drop it in the water and watch it get to work.
The Escape’s easy to use, advanced filtration system sets it above and beyond what you’d expect from a typical automatic pool cleaner. Its super-fine filtration allows it to clean debris of all sizes, from algae to large leaves, and its large, oversized cartridge mean emptying the filter less often. Cleaning out the filter is a breeze with top-access filtration that allow you to simply lift out mess-free cartridge and rinse away the debris.
Formerly a feature reserved for expensive inground robots, a fast rotating brush is the most effective way to remove stubborn contaminants from the surface. The Escape includes a HyperBrush™ to dislodge stuck-on debris as it spins two times faster than ordinary pool brushes. Dirt and debris don’t stand a chance against the Dolphin Escape.
The Escape is equipped with HyperGrip™ Rubber Tracks to ensure that no surface gets left behind. The tracks grip tightly to your pool’s floor to eliminate the slipping that wheeled robots experience. With the Escape, the debris and tough contaminants in your pool have nowhere to hide.
Traditional pool robots tend to wander aimlessly around the pool, hoping they’ll eventually clean everything. With the new Dolphin Escape, there’s no hoping or wandering involved. It’s equipped with the SmartNavTM pool mapping system to ensure that it not only cleans every inch, but it also doesn’t waste time overlap cleaning paths. This innovative system means you’ll never need to worry whether or not it actually cleaned the whole pool.
The Escape’s engineers set out to build a robotic cleaner that accomplished a thorough and efficient clean with less energy, and their success is evident in the new Dolphin Escape. With dual 24-volt DC motors driving the Escape around the pool, the robot uses only 180watts, or almost 90% less than traditional cleaners who can use up to 1800watts. This balance of power and efficiency ensures you get the best of both worlds every time you clean.

After 5 years with the Pool Rover Jr., I replaced it with the Dolphin Escape for my above ground 18x33 oval pool. After one season, I could not be happier. In my opinion, a much better product for the following reasons: it brushes the bottom of the pool, removing stubborn algae, does a much better job cleaning the corners of the pool walls and even slightly climbs them, the cord does not twist up, emptying the bag and cleaning it is a breeze, much faster than the pool rover and you don't have to worry about remembering to switch the swivel pin from side to side, it has a larger handle making it easier to hook and lift out of the pool. It has done an excellent job cleaning my pool. I've read some reviews by some who are not happy with the supplied basket and they end up purchasing an accessory finer basket for very small debris. I think the supplied debris basket is fine. I do not know how reliable and how long the product will last but it seems to be sturdy and well built.
This unit is being used in an above ground pool, 24' diameter. This is an excellent cleaner. I use it at least once a week and my pool has never been cleaner. Extremely easy to use and clean. I have recommended this unit to several friends.
The machine is actually really amazing. And it's as easy as the seller says, out of the box and it's ready to go. Used it for six cycles so far and it picked up a lot of really fine debris. I'm using it on a brand new pool, so the stucco is what it is primarily picking up. I'm using it in Miami, so can't speak for seasonal pool users, but for down here, this machine is a pool maintenance company's worst nightmare.
FANTASTIC replacement for surly, strange poolmen with which I still needed a Great White (Florida - don't ask. Help just isn't what it is in other parts of the country.). If it continues to work for years, I'll say that it's well worth the price. No assembly necessary. Filter cleaning takes 15 seconds. Two passes in my pool and it is sparkly clean. This should save quite a bit of electricity since I will not need to run my pool pump constantly as I was with a suction based Great White. I have a 25x18 freeform (very curvy) in-ground pool with depths ranging from 3.5 feet to 7 feet. This does climb walls well, makes it to a carve out for seating in the deep end, and makes it up the steps (at least all the steps but the very top step). So far, so good! I'll update this review if things change.
This is the first robot pool cleaner I have had. I received it today. It was so easy to use. Just plug up and set in. Did a wonderful job cleaning. And easy to clean up. Ready for the next cleaning.
