Need help? Our Pool Experts are here to help.
Two of the newest and top of the line units go head-to-head. While the Elite Pro keeps up with the Premier, the Premier wins this matchup with its Multi-Media Techonology.
Read the full article >Hey guys, it’s Joshua with Poolbots.com, and today we’ll be comparing two of our favorite robots, the Dolphin Premier and Aquabot Elite Pro, so you can pick the one that is best for your pool and its needs.
To start, let’s look at the similarities of both robots. They both can clean the waterline, have easy-to-remove filters, anti-tangle swivels to prevent cord tangling, and a three-year warranty to ensure maximum protection. This means that both of these robots deliver a strong and efficient clean to all of your pool, but there are a few feature differences that make them each shine in their own areas. If you’d like to learn more details about either of these robots though, go check out our reviews on each!
First, the Dolphin Premier’s areas of expertise are the waterline and multimedia filtration. With its uniquely designed dual stabilizer, hypergrip tracks, and Dolphin commercial-grade motors, the Premier can quickly climb to the waterline and deliver a truly deep clean. Of course, the Aquabot Elite Pro can clean the waterline, too, but the Premier is simply unmatched in its waterline cleaning coverage and performance.
The next area of expertise for the Premier is its multimedia filtration. The Elite Pro comes with only one filter media option, which does a pretty good job picking up a variety of debris. However, it isn’t very efficient at deep cleaning algae or picking up large amounts of leaves. But the Premier excels in both of these areas. The Premier includes a fine filter for standard cleanings, an ultra-fine filter for micro particles like dust and algae, an oversized leaf bag for larger debris like leaves and pine needles, and a disposable debris bag, which you can simply toss once you’ve used it. This many filter media options are unheard of in any other pool robot and allow you to really clean exactly what your pool needs.
Now to the area where the Aquabot Elite Pro shines: connectivity. The Elite Pro is a very strong robotic pool cleaner that has split-spinning brushes for precise turning and an onboard gyroscope to help monitor and control the unit’s position and movement. These two features are amazing inclusions, but we figured it best to pick the area where we see the largest difference, and that is in connectivity. The Elite Pro can connect to the Aquabot RC app so that you can choose cleaning cycle options, check up on the robot, and even manually steer it for a little fun or to get a pesky spot clean. The Dolphin Premier, on the other hand, has an optional remote that covers most of these features, but all the Elite Pro needs is your cell phone. This app connectivity allows you to have a truly hands-off pool cleaner. You don’t even have to step outside to start or schedule the Elite Pro.
So there you have it, a comparison of the Dolphin Premier and Aquabot Elite Pro with a look at their areas of expertise. If you have a pool with a large variety of debris, one that is especially prone to algae or leaves, or a pool with an especially dirty waterline, we recommend the Dolphin Premier. If your pool needs a thorough standard clean, and connectivity is important to you, our choice would be the Aquabot Elite Pro.
