The Dolphin Nautilus line is one of Maytronic's most popular line of robots. Today, we see how the Nautilus CC Plus and Nautilus CC match up head-to-head and against similar robots such as the Dolphin Quantum, Dolphin Premier, and Dolphin Sigma.
Read the full article >Hey guys, I'm Joshua with Poolbots.com. Today, we're taking a closer look at the differences between the Nautilus CC and the Nautilus CC Plus. Both of these cleaners are two of the most popular robotic pool cleaners sold online today, so we figured we would pit them head-to-head so you can see which model is right for you! While the outside of these two units is very different, there is a lot of the same when it comes to their performance and features. First, we'll look at the few differences between the units and then their similarities.
First and foremost is the size of the pool each unit is meant for. The CC is meant for pools up to 33 feet and the CC Plus is meant for pools up to 50 feet, so bigger pools will need the more expensive robot. Another difference is the number of brushes. The CC Plus has two brushes instead of one, adding a decent amount of cleaning power.
The Nautilus CC Plus comes with an antitangle swivel on its longer cord, preventing cable tangling. The Nautilus CC lacks a cable swivel, which can be a hassle to untangle. Additionally, the CC comes with an easy-to-remove top-loading basket, while the CC Plus comes with dual filter cartridges. Both cartridges hold around the same amount of debris.
Both robots come with a standard micro filter, which struggles with fine dirt, dust, algae, and leaves. Premium robots like the Dolphin Quantum and Sigma offer upgrades with ultra-fine filter cartridges and multimedia filtration options. Unfortunately, neither the Nautilus CC nor the Nautilus CC Plus offer waterline cleaning, which is the dirtiest part of the pool.
The power supplies of both units lack certain features. The Nautilus CC offers a weekly cleaning schedule option, while the Nautilus CC Plus does not include options for cleaning lengths and types. For more cleaning options, consider the Dolphin Sigma. Both robots also lack a gyroscope, which affects their ability to effectively navigate the pool and climb walls.
In conclusion, the Nautilus CC Plus is the better option between the two with its dual scrubbing brushes and antitangle swivel. However, both units miss the mark by not including waterline cleaning or filter media options. These features are essential for keeping your pool truly clean.
