To calculate the volume of your kidney-shaped pool, you need to estimate the surface area and average depth. This involves a few key measurements:
For a kidney-shaped pool, determining the surface area is a bit more complex than a rectangular pool. You typically use the formula: Area = 3/4 × L × W. Once you have the surface area, multiply it by the average depth to find the volume.
Keep in mind that one cubic foot of water is approximately 7.5 gallons. To find out how many gallons your kidney-shaped pool holds, multiply the volume in cubic feet by 7.5.
Check the average gallons that the most common pool sizes and shapes hold for in-ground and above-ground pools.
